Services

Professional and Personable

We offer assistance in the following areas

Family Law

When a married or de facto relationship ends the couple will need to make arrangements for their children and the division of property and (sometimes) income, and to formalise the end of the marital relationship by divorce. Whether you are in agreement with your former partner or not, we can help you formalise that agreement, or provide advice and representation on the other options for resolution.

Child Support

Both parents are responsible for the financial support of their children, so if you have the care of a child, but you no longer live with the other parent of the child, then you may be entitled to Child Support. Whilst Child Support is usually assessed and (sometimes) collected by the Child Support Agency, there may be circumstances where the usual formula should not apply, or the parents wish to opt out of the Child Support system.

Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Guardianship

If you have a wish about how your property should be gifted when you pass away, you should have a Will.

A Power of Attorney appoints someone to act on your behalf in your financial affairs.

An Enduring Power of Guardianship appoints someone to make lifestyle and health decisions for you if you no longer have the mental capacity to make those decisions yourself.

Deceased Estates

When a loved one dies it may be necessary to make an application to the Supreme Court to obtain a Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration so that the Executor can give effect to the Will, or the Administrator can distribute the deceased’s estate.

CriminalLaw

Criminal Law

If you’ve had a “brush with the law” or been charged with an offence, you may need assistance understanding the charge, deciding what to plea, or representation at the hearing.

Conveyancing

Conveyancing is the process involved in the transfer of legal title of real estate from one party to another. You will need this service when you are buying and selling a home or if you have received Orders from the Family Court requiring the transfer of property.

Personal Injury

If you have been injured at work, in a vehicle, as a result of a criminal act, or by someone’s negligence, you may have a damages claim.

Civil Law

Civil law covers a wide array of areas including dividing fence disputes, restraining orders, debt recovery, employment disputes, contracts and leases.
